We've been doing a little more hiking lately.
OK, a lot more hiking lately.
Yesterday we did a 4.7 mile hike.
That wasn't as bad as last week's hike up Mt. Yonah, but kicked my booty just the same.
In addition to our usual mad dash to get kids ready and out the door we were to meet Spencer and his dad at the trail head at 8:00ish so it was a little crazy around the house.
Jay took one look at me and laughed at my shorts and hiking boots.
I realize that I'm not all into fashion.
I have a horrible time putting outfits together.
But really, laughing at me?
Aren't we going hiking?
Anyway, we were over halfway through our hike when Jay said you have on ONE of my socks!
OOPS!
You know, some days it's just an accomplishment to get socks on.... much less matching socks of your OWN.

i'm sure if it had been a mismatched "necklace" he wouldn't have even noticed, but just the socks' proximity to your bday gift he selected... :)
